Description

Im looking for a mechanic proper or hobbyist mechanic to work on a Chinese scooter. Before you post contrary to this, Ive researched a target=_top href=http://www.gsmotorworks.com/http://www.gsmotorworks.com//a a great deal. They have a good online parts catalog, guides, videos, native English-speaking staff, physical address I checked on Google Maps satellite, and their stock comes from TaoTao USA. Ive also researched reviews, dozens, from 2004 to present.

Ive checked around Vancouver and Portland at some motorsports shops and the mechanics are leery or outright unwilling to work on these junk scooters.

So, when I order one, Im hoping I can have a contact to pay to run through the basics when I uncrate it (little bit of assembly, checking battery, fluids, brakes, etc), and then for when I may have popped tubes--that sort of thing.

Of course I will pay for these services. I will also agree to signing a contract or statement of terms to ensure liability and services are clear.

My initial budget for a scooter is about $1,200, hence why Im thinking to purchase from GS and not a local store for a reputable scooter like a Vespa or Honda.

There are many nice scooters up for sale on CL but Im not quite ready yet to purchase (August), so Im putting off considering those (many are Chinese too!).

Thanks for reading.
